   It is hard to imagize what life was like in the days before electricity. There are many things that use electricity power,both indoors and outdoors.When these things stop working,we realize how much we need them.We use electric lights and limps to help us see in the dark.When the weather is hot ,electir fans and air conditioners keep us cool indoors. If we feel cold,we can switch on an electric to warm us up

    Electial appiances in the kitchen make life much easier. Fridges and freezers keep food fresh for a long time. Before they were invented,food had to be covered with salt or sealed in containers to stop it from going rotten. People washed their dirty clothes by hanfs before they had washing machines. In the days before electric kettles,you had to boil water in a pot over the fire to make a cup of tea.

   Keeping the house clean also took longer in those days. Without a vacuumm cleaner to suck up the dirt,people swept their floors with a broom. And they had no electrial tools to help them with outdoor work,such as sawing wood or mowing grass.Finally,at th end of the day,they sometimes had time to sit down and relax. But they could not spend this time watching television or playing computer games.

    很难想象没有电之前的生活是怎样的，很多东西需要电，室内室外，当这些东西停止运转，我们会意识到是多么需要它们，我们使用电灯帮助我们黑夜看东西，天热时，电风扇，空调使室内凉快。感到冷时，我们能打开电热器暖和自己。
    厨房的电器使生活更简单，冰箱、制冷器保鲜食物达很长，没有发明之前，食物要用盐或密封起来防止变质，洗衣机发明之前，人们用手洗衣服，电水壶发明之前，你不得不要在火上放壶烧水泡茶。
     过去打扫房间也花费较长时间，没有吸尘器吸尘，只能用扫把打扫地板，也没有电具帮助人们做户外工作，如锯木头，割草，最后，一天下来，虽然有时间坐下休息，但是不能用来看电视或玩电脑。
