诺贝尔—瑞典著名化学家、发明家简介

    Alfred Nobel was born in Stockholm in 1883 but moved to Russia with his parents in 1842.His father invented the landmine and made a lot of money from government orders for it during the war,but soon he failed in his business.Alfred Nobel continued his father's way and had better luck.He invented a new explosive to improve mining and road building and became a millionaire.But he was seldom happy. His invention was used in the war and killed his fellowmen. He came to care deeply about the whole mankind.His great wish was to see an end to wars,and thus peace between nations,and he spent much money and time working for the cause until his death in Italy in 1896.

   阿尔弗雷德·诺贝尔1833年（中国清朝道光帝年间）出生在斯德哥尔摩（瑞典首都）。但1842年他随父母搬家到俄国，他父亲发明了地雷，在战争期间赚了许多钱来自政府为地雷的命令。但不久他事业失败，诺贝尔继续他父亲的路子，有了一个好运，发明了一种新型炸药，改善采矿、公路建设，并成了一名百万富翁。但他很少高兴：他的发明被用在战争中杀死很多同胞，他陷入对整个人类深深地担忧，他最大的愿望是看到战争的结束，从而使国家之间和平。他花费大量金钱、时间为此目标而奋斗，直到1896年在意大利去世（终年63岁）。（本文潜龙家教谭老师为您提供译文，不当之处请您指正，谢谢！）
