世界上真的有鬼?——中文译文请看下面

  Early on the morning of 19 June 1976, a farmer in Hubei province was walking in the mountains,with his young daughter. Suddenly,she noticed a huge creature in front her,with long red hair.The creature rushed towards them.The poor farmer was so frightened that he took his daughter by the arm and ran down the mountain in a hurry.
   There are similar stories from many parts of the world.People describe a creature taller than a human being and covered in long hair.In China,it is called the “Wildman”.In Nepal and Siberia,it is known as the “Yeti”,and in North America as “Bigfoot”.
   Although there are many stories about such creatures,most do not appear to be ture.For example,Chinese scientists have spent years trying to find evidence of the Wildman,but have found very little. In addition,many scientists have looked into Bigfoot.Their opinion? Bigfoot is probably a lie.
   Why do people believe in such creatures?Many people become afraid when they are walking alone in the forest,and began to imagine things.And thenthere are people out to trick others so they can have fun,get their names in the newspapers,or make money.
   So, if you are alone walking in the forest and see the Wildman,you probably just saw a monkey,or even a man in a monkey suit.

    1976年6月19日清晨，湖北省一个农民带着他小女儿正在山里走着，突然，小女孩发现在她前面有一个巨大的生物——长长的红头发。这怪物冲向他们。可怜的农民如此害怕以至于拉着她女儿手匆忙下山。
   世界各地有许多类似故事，人们述说这怪物比人高且满头长发。在中国叫做“野人”，在尼泊尔和西伯利亚叫做“雪人”，在北美叫做“大脚毛人”。
    虽然关于此生物有许多故事，但大多数似乎不是真的。例如，中国科学家花费数年寻找野人痕迹，但几乎没有找到。此外，许多科学家调查大脚毛人，结果呢？大脚毛人可能是谎言。
   为什么人们相信如此生物？原来人们独自走在森林时很害怕，就开始胡思乱想。之后有人出谋愚弄他人，他们由此获得快乐、出名在报纸上、或赚钱。
   所以如果你独自走在森林里看到了野人，你可能仅仅是看到了一只猴子，或身着猴服的人。(潜龙家教谭老师译文)
